“ Love love love this place ! The food was awesome & the hibachi chef made it so fun! We are new here to Jacksonville and my kids were pretty much jet lagged coming from overseas but the chef/cook made the best of it ! My son was knocked out at the table and after a few run away shrimp tails and chicken he was up and all about the food , the portions are awesome and worth the price ! Definitely recommend (ps there was no MSG in our food so that's def a plus ) ”
“ 2002-2007 I owned my house in the commons. This became my sons favorite Japanese restaurant. After divorce, now I have returned. Today, my son insisted on eating here. Boy oh boy happily surprise the food lunch time was AMAZING. We got the bill just to realized Bill for 4 adults was the price for ONE adult at Matsu in Huntington Beach, California. My son already made "Note to self" next visit from Fayetteville we will be eating here again. Thank you ”
“ I come for myself for take out sushi order because the fish they use is top of line tender and delicious! The rice is cooked perfect and my favorite miso soup! The owners so cordial he remembers me when he sees me and makes vs point to take care of my order. The restaurant is nicely decorated and even has a koi pond at the front door as you enter! The kids love seeing the fish.. I've been for hibatchi too long time ago with friends and foods always good! Today I ordered sushi and soup to go.. sooo good!! Not overpriced but worth every penny ”
“ This was our first time at this particular hibachi restaurant. Wilmer was our chef and he put on a great show! The food was delicious and we are excited to come back. The only damper on our evening was the rude kids that had been seated with us. Hear me out. These 5 kids were somewhere between the ages of 13-17. We figured they had to be for their appalling behavior. I thought either someone's dad owns the restaurant or they had to be regulars of Wilmers from the way they treated him, like some inside joke. Sadly, the hostess told us she'd never seen these kids before and they even made her feel uneasy. We felt bad for all staff having to deal with them. Half of them didn't even order hibachi. They should have been sat in the dining area if they didn't want dinner and a show. Wilmer put on a great show with all the tricks and the kids actively ignored him. When Wilmer asked what they were celebrating they yelled out "birthday! No! pregnancy!" Giggling amongst themselves. They had zero manners. When Wilmer made a fiery display and told the kids "ok birthday girl, make a wish!" To which the snotty girl replied to him "I wish you'd shut up!" We were very impressed with how professional Wilmer was the whole time and look forward to him serving us again. I just hope those god awful kids find their way back to the children's table where they belong! ”
“ Fabulous. Place was packed on a Thursday night. We had made reservations to eat there as a birthday celebration for my daughter. Somehow we were on their books for the following night, but they were able to accommodate us (party of 10) quickly. Louie, our sever and Wilmer.our chef were so attentive and fantastic. Food was Delish!! ”
